- Why did zpizza make the switch from soy cheese to vegan cheese?
- Sid's goal had always been to offer a vegan cheese, but for a long time, there was not a product available to us that could withstand the high cooking temperature of our ovens. The soy cheese we carried had casein (an animal protein) so our vegan guests and those with dairy allergies still weren't able to consume it. When we found Daiya, the vegan cheese in stores now, we knew we had a great product that all of our guests could enjoy. If you prefer to order soy cheese, it is available at some locations so please check with the store manager.
- What type of enzyme is in the mozzarella cheese?
- The rennet is identical to the animal product; but it is obtained instead from a dairy yeast, Kluyveromyces lactis.

- Rice flour, tapioca flour, water, potato flour, potato flakes, olive oil, sugar, yeast, salt and seasonings.

- Where did the name "zpizza" come from?
- Sid and his partner, Susie, were getting ready to open their first restaurant together and kept calling it "the pizza place" when they talked about it. Susie was French and pronounced it "zee pizza place". As they were getting closer to opening, they still hadn't decided on a name and decided to use the name they'd always used "z pizza"! Over the years, the space has been dropped and it is just "zpizza", or as we like to call it, just "z".
- What are the pizza sizes?
- Small 10" (6 slices, serves 1-2), Large 14" (8 slices, serves 3-4), Extra Large 18" (8 slices, serves 4-5) and Rustica (6 slices, serves 1-2)
- How do I find out prices for my local zpizza?
- Because all of our locations are individually owned, prices can vary from z to z. To find the prices for your local zpizza, look them up under Locations and select "Order Online". You don't have to order online, you can just choose to browse the menu and see the prices.
